Des Moines Iron Workers Tour and Presentation

Explore the powerful world of skilled trades with an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of Iron Workers Local #67, one of Central Iowa’s most trusted names in structural and architectural construction since 1909.
During this 2-hour hands-on learning experience, students will learn from the highly skilled and safe Ironworkers who specialize in
- bridge structural,
- ornamental reinforcing,
- pre-engineered metal buildings,
- industrial maintenance,
- architectural heavy rigging, and a variety of welding.
This is a rare opportunity to connect directly with experts, ask questions, and discover what it takes to succeed in the skilled trades.
Who Should Attend
- High school students interested in hands-on, high-demand careers
- Youth exploring apprenticeships, trades, or vocational paths
- Parents and educators welcome to accompany students (space-permitting)

- Spaces are limited — registration required
- Safety gear will be provided
- Must wear closed-toe shoes and appropriate clothing for a workshop environment
